Voice - Youth Opera (Boarding Programme)
Artistic Director: Joanne Hounsell
This innovative two-week voice programme will be comprised of classical vocalists who are dedicated to taking their skills to the next level. Our programme inspires students to discover their full potential as gifted musicians. The summer curriculum includes one-on-one lessons in voice and diction combined with daily yoga, group acting and movement, staged opera scenes and voice master classes. We will also offer special seminars on Auditioning Technique and Resume Building, Synergy in Singing and Pathways to Music in Canada and the U.S.A. Set in a residential environment, this programme gives the students a chance to immerse themselves in a world of music with a group of their peers. It is here that they will be able to share their experiences and their love of music not only with their teachers and the other faculty, but with each other. An audition may be necessary, details will be provided with registration confirmation.
