Corinna Zimmermann is a Biology and Visual Art teacher. Before teaching Corinna was an illustrator for many years; she has created many illustrations which are publicly featured in Victoria, such as the figurative icons for Saanich Parks and Recreation, the Victoria West street banners and several illustrations featured in literature found at the Victoria Legislative Assembly. She has worked with many local graphic designers and in 1997 she won the Rock Award for Best Illustration, Vancouver Island Chapter, awarded by the Graphic Designers of Canada.
In her personal artwork, Corinna typically paints with oil paints or with watercolour paints. She is currently working on a series of still life paintings. Two of her paintings are currently on display in the SMUS library for viewing. |
