Chef Heidi Fink is a professional chef, food writer, and cooking class instructor, specializing in vegetarian and ethnic cuisines. Previously Executive chef of the renowned Victoria restaurant, ReBar Modern Food, Heidi now shares her expertise and enthuisiasm through her cooking classes, food articles and culinary tours. With these, Heidi hopes to inspire people in the kitchen and bring excitement to the everyday work of cooking and eating well. Chef Heidi has been teaching cooking classes since 1999. Her fresh recipes, down-to-earth teaching style, and many cooking tips ensure that her students go home with the confidence and enthusiasm they need to cook delicious food. Chef Heidi is a member of the Island Chef’s Collaborative, Slow Food Canada, the BC Food Systems Network, and the LifeCycles Project Society, and served on the Board of Directors for LifeCycles from 2004 to 2007. Chef Heidi also teaches local food courses at Royal Roads University. Her numerous articles on cooking and food have been published in EAT Magazine since 2003.
