Blair and his wife Tracey have two children at the Senior School. He has served as a governor since 2012 and has been board chair since 2014.

Blair has worked extensively in North America, Asia, the Middle East and Africa in real estate development, investment and advisory as a corporate director and entrepreneur. He is currently primarily focused in governance of corporate and not-for-profit organizations. 

He is an Executive in Residence at the University of Victoria’s Gustavson School of Business and also serves as a member of its International Advisory Board. Blair is a director of the Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island (formerly the Queen Alexandra Children's Foundation), and founding vice chair and director of the National Omani Hospitality Company of Muscat, Oman. 

Blair has previously served as a trustee of the American School of Dubai and chairman of the Urban Land Institute, Middle East and Africa.
