Peter attended SMUS from 1968 to1973 during the period of amalgamation of University School and St. Michael's School. Peter was the head of Winslow House, served as a prefect for two years, was president of the XX Club, captained the 1st XI cricket team and was a member of the 1st XV rugby and 1st XI soccer teams. The friendships he developed during his formative years with current board governor Mike Throne, past board governor Eric Heffernan and current advisory governor Tony Souza were profound and lifelong.
Peter received his bachelor’s degree in commerce from Concordia University in Montreal. He is currently the regional vice president of Fairmont’s Pacific Northwest region and general manager of the Fairmont Pacific Rim. In his extensive career spanning over 35 years and multiple continents, Peter has worked for some of the finest hospitality names in the world, including The Peninsula Group in Hong Kong, Manila, Beijing and Chicago; Hilton International Company in London, Hawaii and Montreal; Rosewood Hotels and Resorts in Riyadh; the Regent Hotel Group in Taipei and most recently he served as the chief operating officer for MGM China in Macau. Peter is known in the industry as a quality-driven operator.
Peter and his wife Wen Lu have two sons, Sean and Mark, who are studying at SMUS as boarders.
