With reference to the opening of the Junior School from June 1-12, a Junior School Safety Plan, a Staff Return to Work Safety Plan and a Confirmation of Wellness form were uploaded to the Downloads section.

As communicated recently by the Head of School, SMUS is offering a Deferred Payment Plan for tuition payments for the 2020-21 school year to families who have been impacted financially by the COVID-19 pandemic. More information about eligibility and deadlines, and the form to apply, is available on the Deferred Payment Plan webpage.

SMUS has made the decision to cancel our International Summer Programs for Youth (ISPY) for summer 2020. We look forward to welcoming students for summer 2021!

At present, our Summer Break Camps are still on and they will open for registration on May 5.

Andy Rodford, Deputy Head of School, sent a letter to parents and staff, with an important update. A copy of the letter is available online. The message was also summarized in a story by CTV Vancouver Island.

Visitors to the Richmond Road campus are asked to call Reception at 250-592-2411 before entering buildings. The Junior School is permanently locked.

After careful consideration, we are cancelling this year’s Alumni Weekend celebrations scheduled for May 1-3. While it is the right decision to make, it is nevertheless a great disappointment that we will be unable to welcome our community together on campus.
