Administrative Assistant, Data Centre

Term position September to December 2017, with a possible extension (3-4 hours per day)

St. Michaels University School is seeking a detail-orientated administrator to join our Data Centre. This position works on days that school is in session.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manages all aspects of attendance by relaying and confirming information with parents, students and teachers.
  • Enters all information into school data system (SDS)
  • Produces transcripts
  • Responds to questions via phone, in-person and via email
  • General filing
  • Will assist the Data Centre Supervisor with other administrative duties
  • Other related duties as assigned


  • This position requires a high school graduation, along with three years related experience, including database entry
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) and other databases
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and planning
  • Positive energy and flexibility
  • Performs well in a deadline-driven environment
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
