Administrative Assistant, Athletics

Permanent, full-time position during the school year

St. Michaels University School is seeking a detail orientated, organized administrator to join our Athletics Department. This position works on days that school is in session.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organizing and planning tournaments and events including travel bookings
  • Coordinating schedules
  • Budget management responsibilities
  • Organization and implementation of the Intramural program
  • Management and organization of gym supervisors
  • Communication with parents and coaches
  • Work on various projects with Director
  • General filing and processing risk management forms
  • Provide coaching within the Athletic program
  • Other related duties


  • This position requires a high school graduation, along with two years related experience
  • Experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
  • Ability to effectively communicate, both in writing and verbally
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organization and planning
  • Positive energy and flexibility
  • An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Experience coaching high school sports is an asset

Please note: Hours of work are 9:30-5:30, Monday to Friday but may occasionally change due to operational requirements.
