Primary Core Kindergarten Teacher

Full-time, maternity leave position, September 2017 to November 24, 2017.

All applicants must have appropriate education/university training, relevant teaching experience and be eligible for BC teaching certification. 

The successful candidate will have the following skills, background and interests:

  • An understanding of early learning and the particular developmental needs;
  • A strong background in literacy and numeracy;
  • Experience with interdisciplinary, inquiry and project-based learning;
  • A demonstrated ability to integrate technology to enhance learning;
  • An understanding of current best differentiation practices and commitment to the needs of all learners;
  • Strong collaborative skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team;
  • Strong leadership and communication skills;
  • An understanding of the philosophy of a Reggio-inspired approach;
  • A commitment to and involvement in co-curricular activities.
