Senior School Math Teacher

Part-time (0.6 FTE) maternity leave position, September, 2017 to June, 2018

We are seeking a Senior School Math teacher for grades 9 to 12, particularly with experience teaching AP Calculus and Calculus 12. This is a one-year position for the school term 2017-2018.

The successful applicant will have the following qualifications and experience:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Mathematics;
  • Substantial experience as a Mathematics teacher, particularly in the upper grades;
  • Familiarity and experience with the BC Ministry of Education Mathematics curriculum from grades 9-12;
  • Understanding of creative and innovative teaching strategies;
  • Experience and aptitude in integrating technology into the learning experience;
  • Understanding of and experience with differentiated instruction and assessment for learning;
  • Willingness to participate in the extra-curricular activities of the school.
