Science and technology play an increasingly complex role in our lives – the Middle School Science program teaches students to question and interpret the world around them as well as understand their life-long responsibility to sustain the environment. By applying the discipline of science to everyday living, our students learn to investigate through a scientific lens and develop practical solutions.

Many of the concepts and skills students learn are gained through what we call "hands-on and minds-on" experiments and inquiries. Accordingly, Middle School science classes take a variety of forms: experiments, guided inquiries, teacher demonstrations, student-designed investigations, small and large group discussions, mystery guests, field trips and field work. Students work individually and cooperatively in the lab setting as they question, observe, hypothesize, test, analyze and interpret their findings.
