Grade 10

Part of the Grade 10 program allows you to test out potential careers

Experiential Program

The Experiential Program is about self-discovery through progressive skill development. Students work in small groups throughout the year to explore a topic of their choice – ranging from running a business to outdoor adventures. The goal is to learn more about yourself and what you are passionate about.

Learn more

Your Grade 10 year at SMUS is all about finding answers to big questions about yourself like “What am I good at?” and “What do I enjoy doing?”

How will you uncover those answers? Your Grade 10 year will help you narrow down your interests through a variety of classroom and off-campus experiences.

And when you are in the classroom, you’ll apply what you’ve learned to fun, real-world scenarios – like investigating a (fake) crime scene in science class using forensic identification skills. You’ll see firsthand how what you learn in class is applied to careers and interests after high school.

By the end of Grade 10, you’ll know enough about who you are (and how academics are applied in the real-world) that you’ll be better prepared to make decisions for Grades 11 and 12 that are tied to your future goals.
