I like to open the doors for others to see and realize their potential, especially if it comes through serving the needs of others.

Kevin’s experiences in education at public and independent schools have included roles as Director of Service, Residence and University Advising, Deputy Director of Senior School, Senior Houseparent, teacher of mathematics, chemistry, health and career education and coach of rugby, rowing and water polo. He also serves as an active member of the senior management and leadership teams.

Kevin’s education background includes a Master of Arts degree in Educational Leadership from The Klingenstein Center of Teachers College, Columbia University in New York.

“My thesis work confirmed the strong correlation between the emotional intelligence of the leader and the culture and climate within an educational institution,” he says. “Through this exploration and years of teaching leadership, I have concluded that while there are many facets to successful leadership, it is the good relationship between people that makes the ultimate difference.”

In his current role as Director of Community Engagement and Global Expeditions, Kevin feels much fulfillment in helping shape the lives of young people and making the world a better place.

Born in England and raised in the foothills of the Rockies, Kevin moved to the coast of BC in his teens and has been here ever since. His athletic achievements have included high-level representation in water polo and rugby.

His wife Kathleen is Assistant Director and Admissions Associate at the Junior School and they have three children: Nicole, Stephanie and John. “I love spending time with my family and hiking with our dog,” he says.
