J. David Kim ’05 is serves as Group General Counsel (Acting) at Savvy Games Group located in Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, a global games and e-sports investor owned by the Public Investment Fund. In this role, David oversees all Legal, Governance & Board Affairs, and Risk & Compliance. Savvy’s portfolio includes Scopely, Inc. the creators of “Monopoly GO” and “Pokémon GO”, ESL FaceIt Group, the world’s leading e-sports company. Prior to his role at Savvy, David served as Senior Counsel, Mergers & Acquisitions at the Danaher Corporation, a global science and technology innovator in Washington, DC and law firms of Latham & Watkins LLP in New York and Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg LLP in Toronto.
David obtained his law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto and is a graduate of University of Toronto, where he obtained his BSc in Human Biology and Political Science. Mr. Kim is qualified to practice Law in New York and Ontario.
Mr. Kim is an alumnus of SMUS, having attended the school from 2000 to 2005.
