Senior School friends sharing a meal in the dining hall

After careful consideration, we’re pleased to announce that we will be partnering with SAGE Dining Services. After informing SMUS’s current food service team of the exciting news, Head of School, Mark Turner, remarked on Wednesday to faculty and staff, “We have always been most grateful for the way our food service staff have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support the school in so many different ways.” With our current team partnering with SAGE, food service will begin July 1, 2024 for SMUS Camps, and for the greater community in the fall.

In line with Floreat 2030, SAGE focuses on sustainability, education, quality service, nutrition, and delicious food made from scratch using seasonal and locally sourced ingredients. As a leader in the food space, they serve many independent schools, private colleges, and universities throughout North America.

Tailored Culinary Experience

With SAGE, SMUS can expect a curated and bespoke menu which caters to our discerning tastes and preferences. Anticipate a culinary experience marked by engaging events, specialized culinary stations, and well-designed menus addressing a diverse range of dietary needs. From nourishing main courses complemented by thoughtful sides to deli selections, salads, and innovative food truck-style offerings. The menu will extend to encompass authentic Latin American/Caribbean and Asian cuisines, as well as an expanded repertoire of vegetarian and vegan options.

Holistic Nutritional Philosophy

Grounded in the belief that all foods contribute to holistic well-being, SAGE's nutritional philosophy extends beyond the plate, acknowledging the interconnectedness of physical, social, emotional, mental, and cultural aspects. SMUS in conjunction with SAGE aim to promote a positive relationship with food through systems that create balanced and enjoyable meals.
