Snow Day Guidelines
Any decision in respect to the cancellation of classes or the closing of St. Michaels University School is made by the Deputy Head of School or designate(s). The procedure is as follows:
In the event of snowfall or icy conditions, the Transportation Manager and Deputy Head of School will have a discussion and determine if the weather conditions allow the safe operation of the school buses on the SMUS bus routes.
In the event of class cancellation or full school closure during the school day, each school's Directors communicate the information to faculty and students. Administrative personnel are notified by their supervisors.

Every effort will be made to have school closure information provided in a timely fashion, either in the course of the school day or as early as possible in the event of an overnight snowfall.
