Each and every one of us can accomplish what we put our minds to. Hard work and determination will pay off.

Deanna and her family have moved a lot in the past several years. Teaching in such places as Boston Bar and Revelstoke BC; Powerview and Thompson, Manitoba; as well as in Cloverdale, BC at Lord Tweedsmuir Secondary School, Deanna brings 20 years of experience to SMUS.

She teaches in the math department and looks after the math club. Deanna also works with the Service council and is a house parent in Symons House.

“I enjoy the diversity of the students and the caring environment that has been created by the staff at SMUS,” she says. “I look forward to every day and am grateful for my husband and my four boys. I am very thankful I ended up in such a beautiful city and at one of the best schools in Canada.”

With four boys, there is never a dull moment outside of school. They all play basketball, baseball and rugby, and the family enjoys traveling, especially down to Arizona during Major League Baseball Spring Training.
