Senior School Sciences

The science program promotes an understanding and appreciation of science and provides you with a variety of essential skills, including the ability to think critically and analytically, to apply the scientific method, and to approach problems in a logical and reasoned way.

Classes are a mix of theory and practical application to help you better understand course content and how the sciences connect to the real world.

You can participate in a variety of external opportunities to showcase your prowess in sciences.

Students have been selected to represent the school in a number of scientific competitions and programs including the BC Cancer Agency Xavier Pelletier High School Internship Program (biology), The Canadian Young Physicists Tournament (physics), the University of Waterloo Avogadro and Chem 13 News Competitions (chemistry), and the UBC Michael Smith Competition (general sciences).
