Senior School Visual Art and Design

The objective of the visual art and design program is to promote creativity, imagination and an appreciation of the arts as a fundamental dimension of human behaviour and self-expression, as well as a part of a thriving culture.

We have two studio spaces that incorporate high ceilings and lots of natural light for painting and drawing classes , as well as a design lab to support ceramics, drafting, 3D design and more. Student work is displayed around the classroom and all around campus throughout the year.

Students have access to a printing press, silk screens, an electric kiln, electric potters' wheels, laser cutters and more. The well-stocked supply cupboards include many types of materials for drawing, oil and chalk pastels, watercolours, oils and acrylic paints, textile paints, printing inks and all manner of interesting equipment needed for ceramics and sculpture.
